Zig-Zag came with his friend, Fred, when they were booked to come to retirement livery in 2016. They were left at the yard in our absence and we never heard from their owner again. We know there are many reasons why horses have to be given up and we do not know the circumstances, but they were in very poor condition and we were glad to have the chance to feed them and bring them back to good health. Zig-Zag seemed to have old injuries to his legs which made him a little lame sometimes, but he was very affectionate and enjoyed many years with his friends. Fred died very suddenly on 12th June 2019 and we were worried about Zig-Zag loosing his best friend. Jaffa befriended him after his loss and they remained friends.
