Mercury's Page

Mercury is a lovely thoroughbred mare. She was a talented jumper who arrived at Blaikiewell when she developed a heart condition. She settled in quickly and became close friends with several of the horses, especially Rosa. In winter she requires extra feeding, as she can lose weight quickly. She often prefers to stay out but if it is raining she lets us know she wants to come in by rushing through the gate to the stable block, just as she also lets us know whether she wants to stay in or go out in the morning by either coming to get her headcollar on or turning her face to the wall.
