Lateshift Greetings Cards Update and Blaikiewell Newsletter

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for being on our Mailing List and welcome to those who have joined us since the last Newsletter.

The Lateshift Greeting Cards

The Lateshift has added hundreds of new greetings cards since the last Newsletter, many of which were donated by Liz from her own website, and we continue to add more cards.
We have had a few requests to personalise cards like this one here.  We can add a personal touch to any of our cards if you email us with your request.  We would appreciate a small donation to the animals if you can afford it.
If you have any special requests, please Email Us and we will be happy to do what we can.
There is also a growing collection in our Free Photographs and in our Free Clip Art sections.

Blaikiewell Animal Sanctuary

The sanctuary animals have attracted a few more sponsors this year.   We had another visit from Aileen who sponsors Goblin and Clyde.

Aileen and Goblin

Aileen helped to groom Goblin and spoke to him while he was having cream applied for a painfull skin condition he gets in the summer. He had been very worried about the procedure until then, but Aileen clearly had a calming influence on him and once he discovered that the cream soothed his sores and did not sting he relaxed and has been much happier about it ever since.

We were also pleased to welcome Chestnut's sponsor, Alice O'Neil of the Compassionate Action Intitute in New York. She and her husband arrived on a cold, wet November day, but undaunted, marched through Scottish mud and mist to speak to the horses and feed them many pounds of carrots which Alice had carried for miles in her backpack.
Her website for The Compassionate Action Institute is well worth a visit.

Alice and Blaikiewell's Red Rabba

This Christmas we were delighted to receive £100 from pupils of Charleston School, Cove, Aberdeen. These enterprising youngsers held a sale of their art and craft to raise funds for charity and the Blaikiewell animals were the recipients of their choice.

Another enterprising youngster is Sarah Oldman, who sponsors Kitty.  Sarah held a raffle amongst her friends and raised £10 which she donated to Blaikiewell animals. Thank you very much Sarah. We really appreciate your efforts.

We have also had donations from Freya's rescuer and from some kind people who have made use of our free greetings cards and free photos. Many thanks to all of them too.

Happy Holidays

We would like to wish you all a very happy holiday season,  with all the good things that  come with it,  and may the New Year bring you good health and much happiness.

I hope you will continue to look us up, and please remember we will be happy to hear from you with any ideas or requests.

We are planning to add a lot more new cards and look forward to keeping you updated.

Best wishes,

Liz and Mavis
