Daisy was a cross Shetland pony, 11 hands high and born in 1983.
She was prone to a condition called laminitis which makes ponies' feet very sore and so she had to
have special attention given to her diet and to her foot care. We could keep her free from this but not from the fatal internal tumor, which flared up very quickly and was incurable. She was a very good
little pony and has given many chilren their first riding lessons without causing them any
problems apart from stopping to graze when she felt like it. (This made her all the more endearing) Her tune just had to be 'Daisy', didn't it?
